Live controls

In a live script, Insert › Control places an interactive control inside a line of code. It stands for a value, so the code that uses it runs with whatever you set. The kinds are:

  • Slider, with a minimum, a maximum and a step.
  • Drop-down, with a list of items written as code literals, separated by commas.
  • Check box and Edit field.
  • Button, with a label.

Controls are stored in the .mlx file, so they also appear when the file is opened in MATLAB’s Live Editor.
