fmesh
Mesh surface plot of a function of two variables, given as a handle.
Category: Graphics > 2-D and 3-D Plots
Syntax
fmesh(f)
Draws z = f(x,y) as a mesh over the default domain -5 < x < 5, -5 < y < 5.
fmesh(f, [min max])
Uses the same interval for x and y.
fmesh(f, [xmin xmax ymin ymax])
Sets each interval.
fmesh(funx, funy, funz)
Plots a parametric surface in u and v.
h = fmesh(___)
Also returns the surface handle.
Description
fmesh builds the grid, evaluates the function and draws a wireframe surface with transparent faces. Use fsurf for the filled look.
Input arguments
f- Function handle of
xandythat accepts arrays. funx, funy, funz- Handles of
uandvfor a parametric surface. interval- Two or four numbers that set the domain.
Output arguments
h- Handle to the surface object.
Example
Ripple
fmesh(@(x,y) sin(sqrt(x.^2 + y.^2)), [-8 8])
In the app, the figure is drawn below the code.
