`groot`

Returns the graphics root object, the top of the graphics hierarchy.

Syntax

r = groot

Returns the root object (the same as handle 0).

Description

Every figure descends from the root. Through it you can list all figures with r.Children, query the current figure with r.CurrentFigure, or set defaults for new objects, such as set(groot, 'defaultLineLineWidth', 2).

Output arguments

r: Root object. Its Children are the open figures and its properties hold session defaults.
