`removeUnitSystem`

Removes a unit system defined with newUnitSystem.

Syntax

removeUnitSystem(name)

Deletes the user-defined system name.

Description

Only systems created by newUnitSystem can be removed; the built-in systems are permanent. After removal the name no longer appears in unitSystems.

Input arguments

name: Name of a system created with newUnitSystem.

Example

Adding and removing a system

newUnitSystem('MySys', baseUnits('SI'));
unitSystems
removeUnitSystem('MySys');
unitSystems

Output

ans = 1×7 string array

    "CGS"    "EMU"    "ESU"    "GU"    "MySys"    "SI"    "US"
ans = 1×6 string array

    "CGS"    "EMU"    "ESU"    "GU"    "SI"    "US"
