fplot3
Plots a 3-D parametric curve from three coordinate functions given as handles.
Category: Graphics > 2-D and 3-D Plots
Syntax
fplot3(funx, funy, funz)
Plots (funx(t), funy(t), funz(t)) over the default range [-5 5] of t.
fplot3(funx, funy, funz, [tmin tmax])
Uses the given range of t.
fplot3(___, LineSpec)
Sets color, style and marker.
h = fplot3(___)
Also returns the line handle.
Description
Like fplot, it adds sample points where the curve bends, so you do not have to choose a step. It is the function-handle counterpart of plot3 and replaces ezplot3.
Input arguments
funx, funy, funz- Function handles of
tthat accept vectors. [tmin tmax]- Range of the parameter.
Output arguments
h- Handle to the 3-D line.
Example
Conical spiral
fplot3(@(t) t.*cos(t), @(t) t.*sin(t), @(t) t, [0 10*pi])
grid on
In the app, the figure is drawn below the code.
