htrans
Hilbert-type integral transform of a symbolic expression.
Category: Mathematics > Calculus
Syntax
H = htrans(f, t, s)
Transforms f(t) into a function of s.
Description
MatLivre evaluates it with the rule of the Hilbert transform on trigonometric terms: sin becomes -cos and the transform of cos is sin. Each term is handled by itself, and a function without a known rule stays as the unevaluated call. ihtrans is the inverse.
Input arguments
f- Symbolic expression in
t. t- Original variable.
s- Variable of the result.
Output arguments
H- Symbolic expression in
s, or the unevaluatedhtrans(...)call if no rule applies.
Example
Hilbert transform of a sine
syms t s
htrans(sin(t), t, s)
Output
ans = -cos(s)
Notes
This function is not part of the documented MATLAB function reference, and MatLivre supports only a limited set of rules.
