`isstudent`

Tests whether the running MATLAB is a Student Version.

Syntax

tf = isstudent

Returns true for a student license and false otherwise.

Description

isstudent is a legacy check used by old code to adjust features for the student edition. The Student Version was discontinued, and the function remains for compatibility; modern licenses do not set it.

Output arguments

tf: Logical scalar.
