`matlabRelease`

Describes the running MATLAB release as a structure.

Syntax

r = matlabRelease

Returns the release name, stage, update number and date.

Description

matlabRelease gives release information in a form that is easy to use in code: r.Release is a string such as "R2023b", which can be passed to isMATLABReleaseOlderThan. It is a cleaner alternative to extracting the release from the text returned by version or ver.

Output arguments

r: Scalar structure with the fields Release, Stage, Update and Date.
