meijerG
Meijer G-function.
Category: Mathematics > Mathematical Functions
Syntax
G = meijerG(a, b, c, d, z)
Evaluates the Meijer G-function with parameter vectors a, b, c, d at z.
Description
The Meijer G-function is a very general special function defined by a contour integral of products of gamma functions. Many familiar functions are special cases. The four vectors split the parameters of the integrand: a and b for the upper ones, c and d for the lower ones, with n = numel(a) and m = numel(c).
The simplest case, meijerG([], [], 0, [], z), equals exp(-z), which is a convenient test.
Input arguments
a- Vector
[a1 ... an]of the first group of upper parameters. May be empty[]. b- Vector
[a(n+1) ... ap]of the remaining upper parameters. c- Vector
[b1 ... bm]of the first group of lower parameters. d- Vector
[b(m+1) ... bq]of the remaining lower parameters. z- Argument, scalar or array.
Output arguments
G- Values of the G-function, with the size of
z.
Example
The case G = exp(-z)
meijerG([], [], 0, [], [1 2])
exp(-[1 2])
Output
ans = 1×2
0.3679 0.1353
ans = 1×2
