`refresh`

Redraws the current figure.

Syntax

refresh

Redraws the current figure.

refresh(fig)

Redraws the figure fig.

Description

Normally graphics update by themselves when properties change. refresh forces a repaint of a figure, which is occasionally needed after changes made inside long computations. It does not change any property.

Input arguments

fig: Optional figure handle.

Example

Force a redraw

plot(1:3)
refresh
refresh(gcf)
