shg

Shows the current figure, bringing it to the front.

Category: Graphics > Graphics Objects

Syntax

shg

Makes the current figure visible and puts it on top of other windows.

Description

The name stands for "show graph window". It is shorthand for raising the current figure and is useful after working in the command window, where figures may be hidden behind it. If there is no current figure, nothing is created.

Example

Raise the figure

plot(1:3)
shg

Notes

MatLivre draws figures inline in the live script, so shg has no visible effect.
