rlim
Sets or queries the radial limits of polar axes.
Category: Graphics > 2-D and 3-D Plots
Syntax
rlim([rmin rmax])
Sets the radial range.
lim = rlim
Returns the current radial limits.
rlim('auto')
Lets the axes choose the limits from the data.
m = rlim('mode')
Returns 'auto' or 'manual'.
Description
It acts on the current polar axes and is a shortcut for the RLim property. Setting a range turns the mode to manual, so later plots keep it.
Input arguments
[rmin rmax]- Two increasing numbers.
'auto', 'manual', 'tight'- Sets the limit mode.
Output arguments
lim- Two-element vector
[rmin rmax].
Example
Fix the radial range
polarplot(1:3, 1:3)
rlim([0 5])
rlim
Output
ans = 1×2
0 5
