waterfall
Draws a mesh with lines in one direction only, like a waterfall of curves.
Category: Graphics > 2-D and 3-D Plots
Syntax
waterfall(Z)
Draws one curve per row of Z.
waterfall(X, Y, Z)
Uses X and Y as coordinates.
h = waterfall(___)
Also returns the handle.
Description
It is a mesh plot with the column lines removed, so each row of Z appears as a separate curve stacked in the y direction. This is a convenient way to compare how a signal changes from one record to the next, such as spectra over time.
Input arguments
X, Y, Z- Coordinates, as for
mesh.
Output arguments
h- Handle of the graphics object.
Example
Peaks as stacked curves
[X, Y, Z] = peaks(20);
waterfall(X, Y, Z)
In the app, the figure is drawn below the code.
