`wordcloud`

Draws words sized by their frequency or by a weight.

Syntax

wordcloud(words, sizes)

Draws each word with a size set by the matching value in sizes.

wordcloud(words)

Counts repeated words and sizes them by count.

wordcloud(tbl, wordVar, sizeVar)

Reads the words and weights from table variables.

h = wordcloud(___)

Also returns the chart object.

Description

The more frequent or heavier a word, the larger it is drawn. A word cloud gives a quick impression of the dominant terms in a text or a list of categories, though it does not allow precise comparison of values.

Input arguments

words: String array or categorical array of words.
sizes: Numeric weights, one per word.
tbl, wordVar, sizeVar: A table and the names of its word and weight variables.

Output arguments

h: Handle of the word cloud chart.
