asec
Inverse secant of each element, with the result in radians.
Category: Mathematics > Elementary Math
Syntax
Y = asec(X)
Returns the inverse secant of each element of X.
Description
asec(X) equals acos(1 ./ X). For real abs(X) >= 1 the result is a real angle in [0, pi], and asec(1) is 0. For abs(X) < 1 the result is complex.
Input arguments
X- Numeric array of any size.
Output arguments
Y- Array of the same size as
X, in radians. It is complex whereabs(X) < 1.
Example
Inverse secant
asec([1 2 -2])
Output
ans = 1×3
