polaraxes

Creates polar axes in the current figure.

pax = polaraxes

Also returns the PolarAxes object.

polaraxes(Name, Value)

Sets properties such as 'RLim' or 'ThetaZeroLocation'.

Description

Most of the time polarplot creates polar axes by itself. polaraxes is used when the axes must exist first, or when you want to set properties such as the zero direction and the direction of increasing angle before plotting.

Input arguments

Name, Value
PolarAxes properties, for example 'ThetaDir' or 'RAxisLocation'.

Output arguments

pax
PolarAxes object. Pass it as the first argument of polarplot to draw into it.

Example

Plot into explicit polar axes
