`thetatickformat`

Gets or sets the format of the angular tick labels of a polar axes.

Syntax

thetatickformat(fmt)

Sets the label format, such as 'degrees' or '%g°'.

fmt = thetatickformat

Returns the current format.

Description

The format changes how the angle values are written on the axis without changing the tick positions. Use thetaticks to choose the positions and thetaticklabels to write fully custom labels.

Input arguments

fmt: A format name or a sprintf-style format applied to each tick value.

Output arguments

fmt: Current format of the angular tick labels.
