asind
Inverse sine of each element, with the result in degrees.
Category: Mathematics > Elementary Math
Syntax
Y = asind(X)
Returns the inverse sine of each element of X, in degrees.
Description
asind(X) is the degree counterpart of asin: asind(0.5) is 30 and asind(1) is 90.
Input arguments
X- Numeric array of any size.
Output arguments
Y- Array of the same size as
X, in degrees, in[-90, 90].
Example
Inverse sine in degrees
asind([0 0.5 1 -1])
Output
ans = 1×4
0 30.0000 90.0000 -90.0000
Notes
For real input outside [-1, 1] MatLivre returns NaN, whereas MATLAB returns a complex value.
