csch

Hyperbolic cosecant of each element.

Syntax

Y = csch(X)

Description

csch(x) is 1 ./ sinh(x). It is odd, has a pole at 0, and decays to 0 as abs(x) grows. csch(1) is about 0.8509.

Input arguments

X

Numeric array of any size. Complex values are allowed.

Output arguments

Y

Array of the same size as X.

Example

Hyperbolic cosecant

csch([1 -1 3])

ans = 1×3

    0.8509   -0.8509    0.0998
