acsch

Inverse hyperbolic cosecant of each element.

Category: Mathematics > Elementary Math

Syntax

Y = acsch(X)

Returns the inverse hyperbolic cosecant of each element of X.

Description

acsch(X) equals asinh(1 ./ X). Unlike the circular inverse cosecant, it is defined for every real input, is odd, and goes to 0 as abs(X) grows. acsch(1) is about 0.8814.

Input arguments

X
Numeric array of any size.

Output arguments

Y
Array of the same size as X. It is real for every real X.

Example

Inverse hyperbolic cosecant

acsch([1 -1 10])
Output
ans = 1×3

    0.8814   -0.8814    0.0998
